ImageOne of my favorite quotes is "love the life you live, live the life you love."

Yoga has taken me on a journey, which I am still on. I was always about the serious cardiovascular workouts and running marathons. My friends used to tease me about how high strung I was and how there are medications for people like me. I thought yoga would be a great addition to my workouts by helping me stretch out and relax more. Next thing I knew, my practice went from on the mat to off the mat changing my life mentally, spiritually as well as physically. People started noticing a difference in me and I started to become more alive. I wanted to share what I learned. Therefore, I became a teacher of yoga.

My classes are a vinyassa based class. They challenge your strength and bring you to the present. Everyone is always focused on the past or looking to the future that the present just slips away and is not embraced. I encourage self-reflection and growth through the connection between breath and body. Every pose is your pose, your expression and most importantly your practice. Opening up your mind and your heart is just a side affect of yoga. All this is something that starts on the yoga mat and what happens after that, just happens.
